About

The Valve Steam Frame is an unreleased standalone SteamVR headset running SteamOS 3 on a mobile chipset. It uses pancake lenses and dual LCD panels with higher resolution than previous standalone headsets and supports refresh rates up to 144 Hz. Inside-out tracking is paired with built-in eye tracking and full finger-tracking controllers. The headset supports wireless PC streaming over Wi-Fi 7 and grayscale passthrough cameras for environmental awareness. As an unreleased device, real-world performance, comfort, and battery life remain unknown.
