About this device
Immersed Visor is a lightweight headset intended to be used with Immersed, a productivity program that uses a VR headset to provide virtual monitors for a PC environment. It is advertised as being "25% lighter than a smartphone", while still offering wireless PCVR capability. This is achieved through the use of an external battery pack / compute unit with a WiFi module to allow the wearer to stream VR content wirelessly from their PC.
Note that the battery pack is also required to use the headset as a wired PCVR device, with the wearer having to connect the battery pack to a host PC via a USB Type-C cable.
Immersed Visor features a front plate that can be removed to expose the passthrough cameras if desired.
Immersed also offers a "Founder's Edition" for Visor, which is being sold in a limited run of 25,000 units, and includes a limited custom faceplate and a lifetime subscription to Immersed's premium service tier.
