About this device
The Meta Quest 3S is a cost-reduced alternative to the Meta Quest 3. It is features the fresnel lenses found on the Quest 2, while being equipped with the Quest 3's superior Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset.
This allows the Quest 3 S to be sold at a lower price point than the original Quest 3, lowering the barrier to entry for Meta headsets and replacing the market position of the company's previous generation headset, the Meta Quest 2.
The name "Meta Quest 3S" was leaked via an app listing page on the Meta Quest store on May 31st, 2024.
