About
The Oculus Quest 2 is a standalone VR headset that significantly expanded consumer adoption of VR. It uses a single fast-switch LCD panel and inside-out tracking with optional PC connectivity via Oculus Link or wireless streaming. The headset supports hand tracking and a large software library across standalone and PC VR platforms. Fresnel lenses reduce cost but introduce glare compared to newer optics. It remains widely used despite being replaced by newer models.
