HTC Vive Flow

The HTC Vive Flow is an upcoming VR headset being designed by HTC. Codenamed "Hue", the product is designed as a casual VR viewer, intended for use as a media consumption device, with the ability to play some lighter casual games. The headset is being shipped without controllers, but does feature a 6 DoF tracking system. In comparison to the now-defunct Oculus Go, the Vive Flow will be a more capable "casual" VR device due to its positional tracking capability. The headset features an active cooling system, as well as frame similar to that found on many types of smart glasses. It also features an adjustable diopter, allowing near and far-sighted users to wear the device without glasses. The HTC Vive Flow is designed to be used with a paired smartphone as a controller. The HTC Vive Flow must be used with an external battery bank. The headset has an internal power supply that allows for a 5-minute interruption of power input. This allows for external battery packs to be hot-swapped during use.
