New VR Games & Releases July 2026: Quest, PS VR2, PC VR & More

Right then, July 2026 is shaping up to be an absolute belter for VR gaming. Whether you're on Meta Quest 3, PlayStation VR2, or PC VR, there's plenty dropping this month to keep you strapped in and sweating through the summer heat. Let's crack on and see what's worth your time and money.
Big Releases Coming to Quest and PC VR
First up, we've got "Echoes of the Abyss," a proper deep-sea exploration horror game that's launching on July 9th for Quest 3, Quest Pro, and PC VR. The devs are promising full hand tracking support and some genuinely unsettling underwater sequences. If you enjoyed the original Subnautica's tense moments, this looks like it'll scratch that itch whilst making you need a change of trousers. Early previews suggest the atmosphere is absolutely spot-on, and at £24.99, it's not taking the mick with pricing either.
Mid-month on July 16th sees "Gladiator Reborn" hitting Quest 3 and Steam. This one's been on my radar for ages – it's a proper meaty sword-and-sandal affair with full campaign mode and multiplayer arena battles. The physics look chunky and satisfying, which is exactly what you want when you're chopping someone's virtual head off in the Colosseum. Cross-buy between Quest and Steam is confirmed, which is decent of them.
PlayStation VR2 Getting Some Love
Sony's not being left out this month. "Neon Rush: Tokyo Drift" is a cyberpunk racing game exclusive to PS VR2 dropping July 22nd, and it's making full use of those eye-tracking features for foveated rendering. The adaptive triggers are apparently mapped to acceleration and braking in a way that actually makes sense, rather than just being a gimmick. At £34.99, it's a bit steep, but if the 15-hour campaign holds up, it might just be worth it.
Major Updates and DLC Worth Noting
Beyond new releases, there's some chunky updates landing too. "Contractors Showdown" is getting its "Arctic Assault" DLC on July 5th with three new maps and a pile of weapons. Free for season pass holders, £9.99 otherwise. "Into the Radius" is getting its long-awaited co-op mode on July 12th, which should make those creepy anomaly runs significantly less pants-wettingly terrifying with a mate beside you.
Lastly, keep an eye on "Vertigo 2: Remastered" hitting all platforms July 28th. It's a free upgrade if you own the original, and the visual overhaul looks properly impressive. The original was one of the best story-driven VR shooters out there, so getting it polished up for modern headsets is brilliant news.
